The Software Tester will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of web and desktop applications through comprehensive testing strategies. This individual will be responsible for designing and executing test plans and protocols, identifying software issues, and collaborating with development teams to resolve defects efficiently. They will develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and JavaScript, leveraging Playwright and SpiraTest to enhance test execution and coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies, debugging techniques, and automation frameworks, ensuring smooth software deployment and high-quality user experiences. Additionally, they will contribute to continuous improvement by refining test processes and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
● Design and implement test plans to ensure application quality and functionality.
● Develop and execute test protocols, thoroughly validating software behavior across different environments.
● Write automated test scripts using Python and JavaScript to improve testing efficiency for both web and desktop applications.
● Utilize Playwright to design and run automated test suites, ensuring seamless end-to-end testing.
● Utilize Jira and SpiraTest for real-time issue tracking, exploratory testing, and requirements traceability
● Analyze and report test results, collaborating with developers to resolve defects.
● Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks, ensuring adaptability to evolving software needs.
● Document test cases, execution steps, and defects with clarity and accuracy.
● Proven experience in software testing and automation. Medical device experience preferred.
● Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript for test script development.
● Hands-on experience with Playwright for web and desktop test automation.
● Hands-on experience with Jira for issue tracking, testing, and reporting.
● Familiarity with testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
● Ability to troubleshoot and debug test failures effectively.
● Strong communication skills to work effectively with development and QA teams.
● Medical device experience preferred.
