Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and self-driven Part-Time Accountant to support iSono Health’s day-to-day financial operations. This remote role involves managing accounting functions including payroll, inventory tracking, monthly close, and reporting. Experience with QuickBooks, Rippling, TriNet, and grant accounting—especially NIH grants—is highly valued. This is a part-time opportunity with the potential to grow into a full-time strategic finance role for the right candidate.

 

Role Overview:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking
  • Perform monthly close and financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
  • Handle payroll accounting and employee benefit tracking using platforms like Rippling or TriNet
  • Maintain inventory and cost accounting for hardware and medical device components
  • Collaborate with internal teams to track and allocate grant funding, including NIH grants (a strong plus)
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting for compliance and audit readiness
  • Utilize and maintain accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Rippling, and others
  • Support CFO and CEO with ad-hoc reporting, forecasting, and potential investor due diligence


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification (preferred, not required)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and payroll operations
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Rippling, TriNet, and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Experience with NIH grant accounting and inventory management is a major plus
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to work U.S. Pacific Time hours as needed
