In this dynamic role, you will manage the full talent lifecycle from recruiting to onboarding through offboarding. The successful candidate for this position will play a key role in sourcing top talent, conduct pre-employment screenings, maintain employee records and assure compliance with regulatory requirements associated with hiring employees. They will administer our training program, assist with benefits, leaves of absence and daily timekeeping via our HRIS system. This position is also responsible for completing weekly payroll.
The Talent Lifecycle Specialist reports to the People Operations Manager and will often be the first point of contact for our associates’ employment, payroll and benefits-related questions. Routine visibility on the manufacturing floor is an integral part of this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, from sourcing through offer acceptance.
Partner with hiring managers to identify, attract and hire top talent.
Write and publish effective postings for each requisition.
Recruit, interview, and coordinate the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions. Including pre-hire background and drug testing.
Maintain accurate and up to date candidate records with our Applicant Tracking System (Rippling)
Represent J & O at career fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities.
Track and maintain recruitment metrics to support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct new hire orientation and oversee our new hire onboarding, 30, 60 and 90 day 1:1 review program.
Answer employment-related questions from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Refer non-benefits or
payroll concerns, complex or sensitive matters to the People Operations Manager or designated senior manager.
Support and participate in employee engagement activities.
Assist with departmental and company projects as assigned.
Complete daily plant walk throughs.
Administer HR programs, including benefit enrollment leaves of absence , and support our Time and
Attendance program.
Complete timely monthly audits of benefit vendors to confirm the accuracy of their invoicing.
Assist with administrative components of employee Off Boarding.
Administer and track employee compliance with both internal and external training requirements.
Upload and update training and employee records.
5 to 7 years of human resources experience, including recruiting and payroll processing.
Working knowledge of Federal and state employment laws, such as FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, and I-9 requirements.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong time management, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or a related field.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification, preferred.
Experience with Rippling or similar HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
Experience in a manufacturing environment
