The Opportunity:

Jetson is seeking an experienced and business-minded General Counsel to serve as the company’s senior legal leader. This role will partner closely with the executive team and leaders across the organization to enable Jetson’s growth while ensuring thoughtful risk management, compliance, and strong governance.

What You Will Do:

• Serve as Jetson’s senior legal advisor, providing strategic counsel to leadership across operations, finance, supply chain, people, and growth.
• Own and manage corporate legal matters including governance, board support, entity management, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including vendor, customer, partnership, financing, and real estate/construction contracts.
• Build and oversee Jetson’s legal and risk management framework, policies, and internal controls to support rapid growth.
• Pragmatic advice on employment and workforce matters including policies, employee relations, compensation, and multi-jurisdiction compliance.
• Support Jetson’s vertically integrated home electrification model by advising on regulatory requirements and consumer protection standards.
• Manage intellectual property strategy including trademarks and protections around proprietary technology and AI-enabled tools.
• Oversee external counsel relationships, ensuring high-quality support and cost-effective engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement in legal operations by leveraging technology and automation to improve efficiency.

What You Bring:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree; member in good standing with a Canadian provincial bar (BC preferred).
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, including a combination of law firm and in-house roles.
• Strong expertise in commercial contracting, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Pragmatic, solutions-oriented business judgment with the ability to balance speed and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex legal issues into clear business guidance.
• Comfort with modern tools and interest in leveraging technology (including AI) to improve legal workflows.
• Collaborative leadership style with a track record of building trust across cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Pay: $185,000 - $250,000
