Lead Electrical Trainer

About Jetson:

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.

Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, yet adoption of solutions like heat pumps remains slow due to cost and complexity. Jetson is solving this by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company — making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.

We rely heavily on technology, automation, and data to scale this impact. At Jetson, we value people who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.

Lead Electrical Trainer

Location: Denver, CO (Training Facility-based; ~25% field travel)

You've mastered the trade. You've spent years in the field, and even more time making sure others do it right. This isn't a starter role. This is where serious trainers do the most impactful work of their career, shaping an entire training function for years to come & growing right alongside it.

Jetson is looking for a seasoned Lead Electrical Trainer to power it. Someone who walks into a room of experienced electricians, commands attention, challenges them, and sends them back into the field better than they came in. Day to day, that looks like leading hands-on lab sessions, delivering advanced master-level instruction, and being the go-to technical authority when real questions arise. You'll work closely with our training design team as the subject matter expert they rely on to ensure every course reflects what actually happens in the field. Not just by teaching, but by leading, guiding, and elevating the skills of our workforce as we scale into new markets.

What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging, advanced master-level training sessions for experienced electricians, managing groups of 20+ from multiple states simultaneously, keeping every participant active, challenged, and actually learning (not just sitting through slides).
  • Stay current on electrical codes, rules, and regulations across multiple states as Jetson scales, ensuring training is always compliant and market-ready wherever we operate.
  • Deliver training on electrical safety standards, OSHA protocols, and industry best practices as foundational parts of every program.
  • Conduct in-market field training visits (~1x/month) to reinforce skills and support real-world application of classroom instruction.
  • Bring hands-on expertise across Jetson’s full and evolving 100% electric product line — from heat pump systems to EV chargers — adapting training as our products grow and change.
  • Foster a culture of craftsmanship, confidence, and continuous growth across Jetson’s electrician workforce.

What You Bring

  • Licensed Master Electrician, required.
  • 10+ years of hands-on electrical experience with deep expertise across residential and/or commercial systems. You've seen it all and can speak to it authentically in front of a room.
  • Extensive experience training, mentoring, or coaching electricians with proven ability to manage and engage large groups of 20+ in both classroom and hands-on lab environments simultaneously, keeping every participant active, challenged, and progressing regardless of their skill level.
  • A natural ability to motivate and manage personnel with diverse skills and abilities, reading the room and adjusting your approach to keep everyone engaged and moving forward at the same time.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance requirements across multiple states, with the ability to stay current on varying rules and laws as we expand into new markets.
  • Background in training & development, instructional leadership, and electrical mentorship, with mentorship treated as a core part of how you lead, not just an add-on.
  • Comfort working alongside a curriculum design team. You bring the deep expertise, they shape it into scalable programs.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving products and technologies as Jetson's 100% electric portfolio grows and expands.
  • OSHA training and/or ASP/CSP certification, highly preferred.
  • A genuine passion for the craft and for helping electricians grow.
