Position Overview

We are seeking a driven Associate Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our HR team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in employee relations who is eager to broaden their experience in full-spectrum HRBP responsibilities. You will act as a trusted advisor to frontline managers and employees across multiple departments, including those based at our warehouse facilities, while supporting talent initiatives and greater people operations strategies. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in employee relations and case management, along with a solid understanding of federal and state employment laws.


Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Workplace Experience

Lead and document investigations into employee relations issues including grievances, performance concerns, policy violations, and workplace conflicts.

Serve as the primary HR point of contact for our warehouse employee population, building trust and improving the employee experience.

Promote a culture of fairness, inclusivity, and continuous feedback.

  • Manager Coaching & Talent Enablement

Coach and advise front-line managers on employee development, performance management, and conflict resolution.

Partner with leaders to proactively manage performance improvement plans, recognition, and employee engagement initiatives.

Collaborate to identify emerging training needs and deliver solutions.

  • HR Program Execution & Business Partnership

Support execution of HR programs including performance reviews, engagement surveys, and change management efforts.

Partner with functional leaders (e.g., Operations) to translate business needs into people strategies.

Collaborate with the People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure alignment across the entire employee lifecycle.

  • Compliance & Policy Support

Guide employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state labor laws.

Contribute to policy updates and internal documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance.

Maintain a deep understanding of employee compliance, particularly affecting hourly and distributed workforces.

  • Data-Driven Insights & Continuous Improvement

Analyze and report on trends in employee relations, engagement, turnover, and performance data.

Use insights to inform proactive HR interventions.

Recommend process improvements to enhance team efficiency and employee satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in employee relations or as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).
  • Foundational knowledge of HRBP functions including employee relations, talent planning, performance management.
  • Experience in employee investigations and resolution.
  • Experience partnering with an hourly workforce in logistics, retail, or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality through change and uncertainty.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and documentation tools; familiarity with reporting and data dashboards
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Slack
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
  • Start Up experience is a plus


Travel Requirements

This position requires 10%+ travel, including visits to our warehouses to conduct in-person interviews, trainings, and workplace assessments.


Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to sit at a computer, stand, walk, and occasionally kneel, crouch, or climb while visiting operations sites.

The pay range for this role is:

70,000 - 80,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
