What you'll do:
The Sr. Client Relations Manager will play a key role in supporting one or more of Modern’s Senior Partners and their teams in delivering talent and organizational consulting solutions. They will serve as a strong project manager and strategic thought partner, ensuring the success of the Partner or Senior Partner. They will oversee documentation and processes to ensure adherence by the team, making sure projects are planned and executed to meet both client and internal expectations.
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive project and business administration support, such as document preparation and management, scheduling and coordinating client and candidate interviews and meetings. The Sr. Client Relations Manager will also champion confidentiality and process integrity within the team. This role requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate the complexities of talent execution and coordination. By demonstrating professional communication, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to responsiveness, the Senior Client Relations Manager will contribute to exceptional client satisfaction.
Knowledge Needed for the Role
- Technology: Microsoft Suite, Salesforce CRM, ATS, etc.
- Industry knowledge for Executive Search and/or Consulting preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Project management certification preferred.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrates understanding and interest in business acumen and financial awareness. Understands what leads the pod to success.
- Best Practice Perspective: Adopts and drives best practices to increase efficiency and organization competitiveness. Strong personal commitment to quality standards and meeting quality expectations.
Skills Needed for the Role
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to format, edit, proofread, and transmit client deliverables with exceptional attention to detail. Effective partner on pitch deck preparation (skilled with presentation technology).
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills that can be applied to engage effectively with clients, understand their unique needs, and offer recommendations that drive results. Have a confident professional presence. Well-networked across the business; builds relationships across pods and roles.
- Project Management Skills: Acts as a thought partner to help Partner/SP succeed. Able to coordinate projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time and within scope.
- Onboarding/Training Skills: As a champion for all things process and Modern, onboard and train new CRMs and Associate CRMs.
- Client & Service Orientation Skills: Constantly hones understanding and responsiveness to internal and external client requirements, goals, and issues. Demonstrates self-confidence and determination. Manages situations in a calm, steady, “can-do” manner and is capable of “managing up” well. Strong service orientation – team, client, and candidate.
- Execution Skills: Results driven; manages projects, initiatives, and resources according to search and team strategy effectively and proactively. Champions correct processes in the pod. Sets priorities and reviews progress against goals regularly. Can juggle multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Experiences Needed for the Role
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, supporting senior-level executive(s) and working with diverse teams at all levels.
- Project management experience.
- Professional Services, Executive Search, or Consulting industry experience preferred.
