Our Pricing and Underwriting team is responsible for rigorously evaluating customer risk characteristics and designing and implementing strategies that lead to profitable growth. The team strives to think creatively and regularly explores new data and methodologies to differentiate our pricing segmentation and delight our customers. 


As an Analytics Manager II, you’ll lead a team of four analysts as they conduct exploratory research, run tests, study the impacts of new business strategies, analyze the overall performance of pricing and underwriting, and introduce new metrics and reporting to shape how we measure our business. You’ll work closely with leaders in Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Actuary to achieve operational excellence and ensure strong deliverables with actionable insights. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Decision Science.


Salary Range:  $155,000 - $165,000 (Bonus & LTI Eligible)

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Directly manage a team of Analysts 
  • Lead team sprint planning; Responsible for prioritization of the teams backlog and delegation of work
  • Work closely with analysts to conduct research, run experiments, and manage a suite of business intelligence frameworks and dashboards
  • Identify process inefficiencies and/or organizational bottlenecks and leverage these opportunities to improve outcomes
  • Work with direct reports and cross functional partners to identify, prioritize, and execute on new research and experimentation opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytical methodologies to increase business outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with cross functional partners to influence strategy and to ensure consistent alignment and awareness
  • Coach and mentor individuals on the team to increase talent density and foster professional development and growth
  • Responsible for activities related to hiring, onboarding, and performance management


What You Will Need to Succeed

  • 6+ years of work experience in analytics (prior insurance experience highly preferred)
  • 2+ years directly managing analytics teams
  • Proficiency with SQL and BI software (Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
  • Superior problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically and innovatively
  • Exceptional written and oral communication; able to effectively collaborate with and present materials to VP and C-Suite levels
  • Detail oriented; able to effectively multitask across multiple domains; consistently maintains rigorous documentation 
  • Strong leadership skills; able to effectively manage a team and influence cross functional partners
  • Roll-up-the sleeves work ethic and “do-what-it takes” attitude to efficiently execute and drive results in a fast-paced work environment
