310T Team Lead, Reporting to Fleet Manager
Job Summary
The 310T Team Lead is a licensed Technician responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the maintenance shop. This hands-on leadership role ensures high-quality repairs and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while supervising a team of technicians and apprentices. The Team Lead works closely with the Service Manager to coordinate workflow, enforce safety standards, and maintain compliance with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical expertise, proven leadership experience, and a commitment to excellence in customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate a team of 310T licensed technicians and apprentices.
· Oversee day-to-day shop operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality.
· Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on trucks, Trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles.
· Ensure all work meets MTO and company standards.
· Train, coach, and evaluate technicians and apprentices.
· Liaise with Service Advisors and Parts Department to coordinate work orders and minimize downtime.
· Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and service documentation.
· Enforce workplace safety protocols and compliance with all regulations.
· Perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
Requirements
· Valid 310T Technician license (Ontario).
· Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a Truck and Trailer repair environment.
· Prior leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
· Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Understanding of MIR Maintenance System would be an asset.
· Must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license (DZ or AZ an asset).
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Thursday, 1 pm to 11 pm
Salary: $80,000 per year
