Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst



We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting experience, a solid understanding of financial management, and the ability to provide insights that support business decisions. This role offers the opportunity to balance hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial analysis in a dynamic, project-focused environment.

This is an in-office position based in our Champaign, IL office.


What you’ll do

  • Prepare and analyze cash flows, financial reports, and dashboards; develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts for stakeholders
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis to guide business decisions
  • Assist with refinancing activities, audits, and other financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations; review project billing, job costing, and related invoices/contracts
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability; partner with project managers to maintain accurate project reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows and systems
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned by leadership
  • Assist the Chief Accounting Officer in evaluating financial performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, vendor payments, and staff supporting day-to-day operations
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the financial support staff on a day-to-day basis

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4–8 years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience
  • Experience supervising or managing accounting or finance staff
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in Excel and accounting software
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in project-based industries (construction, real estate, or professional services) is a plus
  • Valid driver's license

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary - $65,000-$72,000 annually**

**The salary range listed for this position represents the range of compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

All hiring is contingent on eligibility to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or transfer visas for this position.

The pay range for this role is:

65,000 - 72,000 USD per year (616G )
