Business Development Manager – UKI

Job Summary


JTG is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who will work closely with senior leadership to shape and deliver JTG’s UK&I commercial strategy, ensuring the sales organisation is aligned to effectively position JTG’s services and capabilities. You will develop new opportunities, strengthen and expand customer relationships, and lead complex sales engagements from early engagement through to contract award and handover. Working across the Executive Leadership team, you will anticipate market trends, cultivate strategic partnerships, and drive growth through effective use of marketing strategies, competitor insights, and industry intelligence. As JTG continues to expand its presence across Europe and the Middle East, you will play a key part in supporting our international growth. We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially astute leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, brings exceptional writing, negotiation, and influencing skills, and is motivated to play a key role in advancing JTG’s vision and shaping its strategic direction.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned to organisational goals, driving growth across sales, marketing, and consulting services.
  • Identify, secure, and lead complex sales opportunities, including shaping win strategies, solution design, commercial approach, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and manage senior stakeholder relationships across public and private sectors, fostering long-term partnerships and repeat business while owning key customer accounts.
  • Oversee end-to-end sales processes, including pipeline management, forecasting, proposal development, procurement support, and alignment of internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide market insight and strategic input, supporting bids, improving internal processes, representing customer needs, and contributing to organisational growth and team success.

 Job Qualifications

 Education & Experience

  • A strong understanding of healthcare IT; experience with medical laboratories or pathology services is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated success in complex services and solutions sales, including commercial negotiation.
  • Experience in account management and customer relationship management.
  • Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience and contract knowledge are advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive, motivated and collaborative approach to work.

 Competencies

  • Proven experience selling complex, high-value services or solutions within UK&I healthcare or similarly complex environments.
  • The ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders, including executive and clinical leaders.
  • A customer-focused approach, with strong relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience in healthcare IT services and solutions is highly desirable; experience in pathology or diagnostics is an advantage but not essential.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and make well-judged decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining senior-level relationships and contributing to long-term strategic planning.
  • The ability to adapt to change and translate evolving customer needs into clear, compelling value propositions.
