General Description:
The Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries is a privately funded 501(c)3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry. Our designated purpose is religious, and we are a Christ-centered ministry which is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and helping the homeless and impoverished. We consider every position to be essential in the fulfillment of our ministry and statement of purpose. As such, each employee must have a relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
Essential Functions:
• As a member of staff, uphold, promote, and encourage, in word and deed, desired organizational culture and values; purposefully seek to establish and maintain a culture that is based on grace that affirms and advances KGM’s vision and purpose.
• Provide professional, administrative support to the President & CEO.
• Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project management related work, including proofreading and editing, as needed.
• Answer telephone calls providing accurate information using appropriate resources, if needed.
• Receiving and directing guests and visitors.
• Track action items for the President & CEO and key ministry projects; ensure follow-up is completed.
• Support event planning: internal and external meetings, ministry events, and donor functions.
• Schedule and maintain appointments for the President & CEO.
• Maintain a hard copy and electronic filing system.
• Set up and coordinate meetings and conferences as required.
• Assist in preparing board of director packets, agendas, minutes and meals. Maintain board records and update as needed.
• Prepare and/or modify written materials and presentations at the direction of the President & CEO.
• Manage CEO’s contacts and calendar, including scheduling travel and booking lodging.
• Distribute electronic correspondence as required, taking dictation, taking minutes for meetings, organizing file systems.
• Order supplies for the office as needed.
• Assist with document retention policies and procedure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.

Working Conditions/Physical Factors:
• Position will predominately require individuals to work in a typical office environment.

• Copier/Scanner.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• Specific KGM Software, after training provided (Donor Perfect, Delivra, Mission Tracker, etc.).
Education/Experience:
• Minimum Requirements: 3-5 years of administrative experience, ideally supporting senior leadership, with a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in business administration, office management, communications, or related field. Familiarity with Christian ministry environments and alignment with organizational mission preferred.

The pay range for this role is:
18.50 - 18.50 USD per hour (Kalamazoo Gospel Mission)
