Lead Network Development Executive

An Industry Defining Company

Karoo is a venture-backed startup, immediately prior to Series A, on a mission to transform cardiovascular care. Our platform is designed to empower large provider groups and health systems to succeed in value-based care contracts with payers by improving patient outcomes and reducing cost of care through better coordination, analytics, and disease management. While our initial focus is cardiology, we are building a scalable operating system for managing complex conditions across the healthcare spectrum.

This is a rare opportunity to join a mission-driven founding team at a pivotal stage and help define the future of healthcare technology, with the power to improve the lives of patients with cardiovascular disease, the number one cause of death in America today.

The Role

Karoo is building the next generation of cardiovascular networks. The Lead Network Development Executive will lead this effort, building and managing provider relationships, developing new markets, and ensuring the provider footprint aligns with payer partnerships.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate strategically and tactically: identifying where to grow, meeting with cardiology and primary care practices, structuring relationships, and helping turn payer contracts into functioning local networks.

What You'll Do

Network Development & Market Expansion

  • Build and manage relationships with cardiologists, PCPs, multi-specialty practices and health systems in existing and target markets
  • Identify ancillary opportunities for Karoo to continuously add new value drivers to existing and new partners
  • Develop the provider growth strategy aligned to payer contracts and market priorities
  • Partner with BD to identify new markets and assess provider readiness
  • Create outreach playbooks, provider engagement materials, and CRM tracking processes
  • Represent Karoo externally at meetings, conferences, and practice visits

Network Management & Collaboration

  • Maintain active relationships with existing providers & health systems to ensure satisfaction and ongoing collaboration
  • Partner closely with Market Operations to transition practices from contracting to active implementation
  • Coordinate with Market Operations and future client success functions for post-launch engagement and performance monitoring

Strategy & Enablement

  • Build scalable systems & team for network tracking, performance insights, and coverage mapping
  • Contribute provider insights to payer negotiations and clinical model design
  • Define success metrics for provider growth, engagement, and retention

What We're Looking For

  • 8–12+ years in provider network development, value-based care, or healthcare partnership management
  • Deep understanding of payer–provider dynamics and value-based contracting
  • Proven ability to build and maintain provider relationships (cardiology experience preferred)
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, early-stage environments – hands-on, field-based, and execution-oriented
  • Strategic thinker who thrives on creating structure where little exists

Nice to Have:

  • Established relationships with cardiology, multi-specialty provider groups and health systems
  • Experience contracting or partnering with payers on value-based care models
  • Familiarity with value-based care delivery models for chronic or cardiovascular conditions
  • Background in a startup or high-growth environment building from zero to scale
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data (claims, utilization, quality metrics)
  • Experience using CRM or provider relationship management tools
  • Comfort presenting to provider leadership, health plan executives, and internal teams
