JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly strategic, customer-facing Senior Director of Business Strategy with deep expertise in retail media to serve as a trusted advisor to our most critical US based customers and partners. Reporting to the VP of Global Business Strategy, this role will be accountable for long-term value creation, relationship health, and strategic alignment across our organization, ensuring that we not only retain but also grow our top-tier customers.


LOCATION: Remote - United States. This position is 100% remote. Applicants located anywhere within the United States (Eastern or Central Time Zones preferred) are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be legally eligible to work within the United States.


PAY TRANSPARENCY: Kevel uses external, third-party market data to determine compensation for all open positions. Our compensation philosophy is based on the candidate’s specific working location and experience level. This means that we will take a no negotiation approach in our recruitment and offer processes. The base salary for this position ranges from $175,000- $235,000 USD dependent on location and experience level. In addition, this role is eligible for performance-based variable compensation and commission offering significant total earnings potential.


In regards to candidate location in the US specifically, Kevel currently uses validated external data sources to determine which US locations are considered higher cost of living metropolitan areas compared to others. Candidates are welcome to reference the following chart to get a general sense of where they may fall within the pay range based on US location.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Own end-to-end customer strategy for Kevel’s most critical US based customers and partners, accountable for long-term value creation, relationship health, and strategic alignment beyond individual sales cycles.
  • Work with the broader Business Strategy team to define and operationalize customer-specific strategies and partner with Sales, Customer Success, Solutions, and Professional Services in aligning around a unified account vision and execution plan.
  • Execute the strategic direction for Professional Services engagement across key accounts, including packaging, positioning, delivery models, and margin-conscious deployment in support of customer outcomes.
  • Serve as the executive point of accountability for complex, multi-threaded customer relationships, including escalations, renewals risk, and long-term expansion opportunities.

SKILLS YOU'LL BRING WITH YOU:

  • 5+ years in retail media, ad tech, or related strategy roles. 
  • Ideal candidate has experience inside a retailer or commerce media business.
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth and retention for large, complex accounts.
  • Proven ability to influence senior customer stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence. 
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to align multiple teams toward a shared customer vision.
  • Experience being a strategic advisor to enterprise customers and familiarity with complex API-driven ad tech ecosystems.
