About the Role

Operations is a brand-new team at Kick. Think of us as business generalists who apply our background in finance or accounting to partner directly with customers and translate what we learn directly into prototypes and software. This is a unique opportunity to push your bar for what’s possible and break into product or bizops at a AI-native startup going through rapid growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with customers to create great customer experiences and incorporate feedback into new products.
  • Work with the CEO, Design and Engineering to develop useful prototypes and drive new features through the full product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Growth, Sales and CX on content, partnerships and establishing new market segments.
  • Partner with AI to develop, maintain, and improve our industry-leading AI agents.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5-7+ years of experience in consulting, accounting, finance (e.g. former MBB, Big 4, IB) or high-growth startups.
  • Strong communicator who can navigate technical and non-technical conversations with accountants, business owners and the team.
  • Track record of success with driving new projects from ideation to completion.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, and knows how to make progress without perfect information.
  • Wants to work on something that scales beyond themselves and is excited to shape the future of accounting software.

Bonus Points For

  • Empathy for Entrepreneurs; been self-employed, run a side business, or served small-business owners.
  • Basic coding experience (SQL, JavaScript, Python) or experimented extensively with code generation tools.
  • Advanced business credentials (MS/MBA, CPA, CFA).

Location

This role is based in Palo Alto, California. Candidates should be in or open to relocating to the Bay Area.
