Kinetic Custom Trailers is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Accounting Professional to drive strategic decision-making and develop best-practice financial structures at our manufacturing facility in Penticton, BC.

Who You Are

You’re not just an accountant—you’re a strategic financial leader with a passion for developing processes from the ground up. You’re a seasoned CPA with at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a significant asset). You excel in turning numbers into actionable insights, designing cost accounting systems, and mentoring teams. Ready to work hands-on alongside leadership and operations teams, you’re eager to create financial best practices that drive our business forward.


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Reporting: Direct and enhance all financial operations, ensuring timely, accurate month-end and year-end closes. Produce insightful financial statements that support strategic decision-making.
  • Cost Accounting & Inventory Management: Design, implement, and refine inventory management and costing systems. Organize regular inventory counts with Supply Chain and conduct variance analyses to optimize profitability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term cash flow forecasting. Collaborate with executive leadership to set and monitor financial targets.
  • Cross-Border Compliance: Oversee compliance with Canadian and U.S. financial regulations, including export documentation. Coordinate with external partners to ensure adherence to cross-border accounting principles.
  • Tax, Audit & Process Improvement: Prepare corporate tax returns and manage external audits. Develop and implement internal controls and policies that streamline financial workflows.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor and manage junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Partner with production and operations teams to align financial insights with real-time business needs.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Lead special initiatives, including system upgrades and automation projects that support our expanding operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Credentials & Experience: CPA designation in good standing with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in cost accounting, ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus—we’ll train if needed). A solid understanding of U.S. accounting principles and cross-border compliance (or the willingness to learn).
  • Leadership & Problem-Solving: Proven track record in process development, team leadership, and implementing financial best practices. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

What We Offer 

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary range of $90,000 – $120,000+ (commensurate with experience), plus opportunities for growth.

Schedule & Work Details 

  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: Penticton, BC
  • Environment: Office, industrial manufacturing environment
