About the role
As an ADAS Calibration Technician at Kinetic, you’ll start in a foundational role within the automotive service industry. Your responsibilities will include essential tasks such as document setup, vehicle transportation, and effective communication between the Kinetic Hub and our partners to support our ADAS calibrations and related services. With in-house training, you’ll gain a solid understanding of our operational processes and the fundamentals of dynamic and static ADAS calibrations. Setting the stage for your growth and advancement into becoming an electrical automotive technician specializing in the cutting-edge field of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
What you'll do
- Operational Support : Follow dispatch schedules effectively, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Documentation and Data Collection : Accurately collect, record, and manage data for vehicle calibrations.
- Vehicle Transportation : Safely transport vehicles to and from customer locations and Kinetic Hubs.
- Vehicle Inspection : Conduct pre- and post-checks on vehicles, including performing vehicle scans, photos and documentation to ensure they meet delivery standards.
- Team Communication : Maintain clear, effective communication with team members, customers, and partners.
- Local Area Navigation : Understand service areas and traffic patterns to ensure timely and safe transportation.
- Safety and Compliance : Exposure to shop environments, must adhere to all safety guidelines and operational standards and procedures.
- Daily Hub Operations: Assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks within the hub to maintain seamless operations. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: equipment upkeep, inventory management, moving or rearranging equipment, facility organization, and supporting other operational needs to ensure optimal readiness.
- Administrative Duties : Familiar with administrative processes related to the role.
- Vehicle Knowledge : Develop a comprehensive understanding of various vehicle makes and models.
- Body Shop Familiarization : Understand the body shop process workflow, team makeup, and business dynamics.
- Equipment and Software Proficiency : Learn to operate Kinetic-specific devices, software, and processes.
- Vehicle diagnostic equipment : Understand basic diagnostic equipment, perform vehicle scans independently and request for additional support.
- Basic ADAS Calibrations : Begin performing basic ADAS calibrations and related services.
- Calibration Equipment : Assist in setting up calibration equipment to prepare for advanced tasks.
Qualifications
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
- Transportation : Must have a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Mobile Device : Must have a mobile device with cellular service (allowance provided).
- Driver’s License : Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements : Able to lift 50lbs, use basic hand tools, work outside, drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Attention to Detail : Ability to work accurately and ensure quality results.
- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer and team interaction.
- Customer Service : Solid people skills to enhance customer experience with a focus on communication and professionalism.
- Computer Literacy: Good understanding of day-to-day computer operations (internet, applications)
- Instruction Comprehension : Able to read and understand instructions thoroughly.
- Independence and Teamwork : Capability to work independently while being a supportive team member.
- Multitasking Ability : Competence in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 28 USD per hour (San Carlos, CA)
