About the role


The ADAS Technical Support Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the customer experience‬ by providing technical support to both internal teams and external partners. This position is‬‭ responsible for diagnostic tool management, OEM service information research, and ensuring the‬ performance and reliability of Kinetic's calibration processes. The ideal candidate will have‬‭ extensive automotive repair knowledge, expertise with OEM specifications, diagnostic hardware,‬‭ and software asset management.‬

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal teams and external customers.‬
  • Serve as the primary contact for Kinetic Hub technicians regarding diagnostic tool‬ questions and performance concerns.‬
  • Support to Kinetic Hubs‬ remotely
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of diagnostic and calibration tools, including‬ acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.‬
  • Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of tools, and conduct technical evaluations to‬ ensure functionality and performance.‬
  • Research and evaluate new diagnostic tools and technologies to enhance calibration‬ capabilities.‬‭
  • Provide training and support to technicians on tool usage, software updates, and‬ diagnostic procedures.‬
  • Conduct OEM technical research to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications‬ and industry standards.‬ Assist with collision repair evaluations, including parts, labor, and ADAS calibration‬ requirements.‬‭
  • Manage diagnostic software and hardware assets, ensuring compatibility and optimal‬ performance.‬
  • Stay current on industry trends, OEM guidelines, and ADAS calibration advancements.‬‬
  • Adapt to evolving business needs by supporting other tasks as identified & required.‬

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, or technical support.‬‭
  • Strong understanding of vehicle estimating, OEM service information, ADAS calibration‬ processes.‬
  • Understanding of OEM Certified Networks is a plus.‬‬‭
  • Proficiency with various diagnostic scan tools, OEM Software, calibration equipment, and‬ software platforms.‬
  • ICAR, ASE certifications preferred.‬‭
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.‬‭
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.‬‭
  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or‬ equivalent work experience.‬

The pay range for this role is:

110,000 - 160,000 USD per year (San Carlos, CA)
