About the role

The Director of Finance plays a critical strategic role in aligning financial stewardship with broader company vision and operational execution. Partnering closely with the executive and C-suite teams, they help shape and refine the organization’s strategic direction, ensuring that financial frameworks are structured to support innovation, growth, and the long-term vision of the company. This includes cascading the company’s goals and vision into department-level strategies, guaranteeing that every unit is financially aligned and operationally contributing to shared objectives. They are also responsible for setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and for establishing company growth targets that are realistic, measurable, and strategically sound.

Beyond strategy, the Director of Finance is accountable for the financial health of the organization through rigorous reporting, disciplined internal controls, and scalable processes. This individual ensures the integrity, transparency, and consistency of financial operations on a day-to-day basis—empowering decision-making through accurate and timely data. They act as a connective tissue across departments, aligning operations with financial goals and ensuring compliance through robust governance. Particularly in a SaaS and hardware-integrated business, this role requires a proactive and forward-thinking approach, driving the finance function to be a catalyst for innovation and a trusted partner in scaling sustainably.
