Your role
As a Senior Product Enablement Engineer at Kisi, you’ll bridge the gap between our product teams and internal as well as external stakeholders. You’ll own creation and maintenance of all product- and technical-documentation, design and deliver training programs, and serve as an internal subject-matter expert—ensuring colleagues, customers and partners have the resources and knowledge to deploy, integrate, and leverage our platform successfully.
Your responsibilities
Documentation Creation & Maintenance
- Author clear, comprehensive product guides, API references, release notes, and knowledge-base articles.
- Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering.
- Regularly audit and update documentation to reflect new features, enhancements, and best practices.
Technical Collateral
- Produce deep-dive whitepapers, integration guides, troubleshooting playbooks, and SDK tutorials.
- Collaborate with Marketing on datasheets, case studies, and webinar materials, packaging technical collateral effectively.
Product Training & Enablement
- Design and deliver both instructor-led and on-demand training sessions for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Develop engaging training assets: slide decks, demo scripts, hands-on labs, video tutorials, and quizzes.
- Measure training effectiveness through assessments and feedback, iterating to improve content and delivery.
Internal Subject-Matter Expert
- Serve as go-to resource for pre- and post-sales teams on technical questions, PoC support, and escalations.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives (product launches, beta programs, customer workshops) to ensure technical readiness.
Continuous Improvement
- Gather feedback from customers, support tickets, and sales interactions to identify documentation gaps and training needs.
- Propose and drive process improvements to streamline content workflows and increase self-service adoption.
Your qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
- 3+ years in technical documentation, product enablement, or solution engineering roles—preferably in SaaS or enterprise software.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on with JavaScript and React—author and maintain custom JSX components in our Docusaurus-powered docs.
- Proficient with Markdown, Git & GitHub workflows (PR reviews, branching strategies).
- Comfortable extending and theming Docusaurus, troubleshooting build pipelines and custom plugins.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, OAuth, and SDK integration workflows.
- Optional (or learn on the job/with ChatGPT): Rudimentary understanding of electronics (circuits, wiring, power requirements) to accurately document hardware interactions.
- Ability to read and understand code samples in JavaScript, Python, or Java.
Communication & Training
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for simplifying complex topics.
- Proven experience designing and delivering technical training to diverse audiences.
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Our documentation portal must be rigorously well-organized and easy to navigate.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset—comfortable working with engineers, product managers, marketers, and customer-facing teams.
