About the role

The Project Manager successfully leads and coordinates ERP and CRM software implementation projects for our customers, and will work closely with stakeholders, Developers, and Consultants to ensure the project stays on track for a successful delivery. They are also responsible for achieving sales and profit targets and for adhering to the project schedule.

 

The Project Manager plans the deployment of resources, coordinates the project team, organizes the planning of project steps and work packages, and monitors their completion. The Project Manager reports internally and externally on the progress of the project and is the customer's first point of contact. They receive new requirements (change requests) and prepare offers. They organize and moderate the coordination with the customer, whom they also advise technically.

What you'll do

  • Project planning, including: Managing tasks and activities, monitoring dependencies in the individual tasks, and resource planning; regularly tracking deadlines, tasks and results together with the customer project manager
  • Monitoring project progress, budget status, and key project targets; ensure the time schedule is met, project deliverables are achieved, and adhering to project budget.
  • Monitoring target achievement; manage Change Requests.
  • Create detailed project plans, budgets, and process/support documentation for projects.
  • Manage complex project schedules and balance difficult conflicting priorities.
  • Report on project status to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Spec out projects to assist sales and pre-sales teams with the preparation of proposals and contracts.
  • Identify and manage risks to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Identify and solve problems in a timely matter, when needed escalate issues to management and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Draft and retain project documents so they are accessible to team members.
  • Maintain SharePoint file organization, migration, and management for internal and external file collaborations.
  • Review time entries for appropriate description of services performed.
  • Invoicing and budget to actual reporting.
  • Preparation of a weekly or monthly budget status report; support forecasting efforts.
  • Organize the handover from sales to the project team; planning and implementation of a kickoff with a customer.
  • Monitor contract compliance and coordinate with customers.
  • Plan and moderate project steering meetings.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of project management and related experience in large software implementations or custom development, ideally in the Microsoft Dynamics product range.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Project Manager (CMP), or other related project management certification preferred, but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Project or other project tools.
  • Experience working within a technical team.
  • Experience within an Agile environment.
  • Project implementation and consulting experience.
  • Experience working with remote/virtual teams.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with project management systems, scheduling, time entry, and billing.
  • Knowledge of the book and magazine publishing industry and their workflows preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP software (functionalities, interrelationships).
  • Knowledge of the work areas and processes in book and magazine publishing houses.
  • Experience with JIRA preferred, but not required.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented.
  • Authorization to work in the US/North America (Eastern time zone preferred).

The pay range for this role is:

105,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Remote)
