Kolar is currently hiring for an Accountant who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organization. Their responsibilities will encompass a range of crucial tasks, including invoicing clients, managing billing contract compliance, reconciling cash receipts, and tracking aging accounts receivable. Additionally, they will be tasked with overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable relationships, conducting operational triage, and ensuring certification compliance.

Objective & Responsibilities of the Role:
- Invoicing: Accurately and promptly invoice clients for services ensuring compliance with billing contract data and reporting requirements to uphold contractual obligations.
- Accounts Receivable (A/R): Track and follow up on aging accounts receivable to minimize outstanding balances.
- Accounts Payable (A/P): Reconcile cash receipts and credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with accounts payable and accounts receivable to facilitate smooth financial transactions.
- Financial Transactions Processing: Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries, accurately and efficiently. Create journal entries and generate project reports to provide insights into financial performance.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage daily cash flow and prepare reports to monitor liquidity and financial health. Forecast cash flow and maintain financial statement packages to inform strategic decision-making.
- Financial Statement Package: Prepare comprehensive financial statement packages for the leadership team and Board of Advisors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Tax and Financial Vendor Support: Collaborate with tax advisors and financial vendors to provide necessary documentation and support during tax filings and audits, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Support: Reconcile balance sheet accounts and provide support for tax and financial vendors during audits.
- Ad-Hoc Financial Analyses: Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as required to support business initiatives and decision-making processes.
- Project Reporting: Generate and analyze project reports to track financial performance.
- Operational Triage: Conduct daily operational triage to promptly address and resolve financial issues as they arise.
- Certification Compliance: Ensure certification compliance within the organization to meet regulatory standards.
- Timesheet Auditing: Audit timesheets for accuracy to ensure proper allocation of resources and invoice processing.
Required Competencies:

Education / Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree - Accounting (Required)
- Masters - Accounting (Preferred)
- Data/Technology/Computer Science Degree/Certification (Preferred)
- Coding, Database/SQL Certification (Preferred)
- CMA/CPA (Preferred)
Experience:
- 2 years of Professional Accounting Experience (Required)
- Proficient in SQL and/or database technologies for effective data management and querying. (Preferred)
- Public Accounting Experience (Preferred)
- Smaller company (<100 EE) experience (Preferred)
Position / Reporting:
This is a full-time position who will report to the Director of Finance and Information Systems.
