📍 Location: Remote
📆 Duration: 4–6 months (flexible, based on SkillBridge eligibility window. While we would prefer to have the internship last longer than 150 days it is not a requirement.)

🪖 Eligibility: Only open to active-duty U.S. military service members within 180 days of separation who are approved by their Chain of Command to participate in a DoD SkillBridge program.

Basic Function of the Role

The Human Resources (HR) Specialist Intern is a key member of a dynamic and supportive HR team, contributing to both strategic and tactical HR functions. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience across recruiting, compliance, onboarding, policy development, and more—building foundational knowledge in modern HR practices while supporting the company’s mission to create exceptional employee experiences.


Key Responsibilities

You will gain knowledge and skills through real work experiences in the following areas:

  • Support recruiting efforts including resume reviews, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation coordination
  • Learn and apply HR policies in accordance with federal and state labor laws
  • Support internal training initiatives and help develop employee training materials
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HRIS updates and data audits
  • Create HR reports and dashboards for internal leadership
  • Contribute to HR policy documentation and handbook revisions
  • Participate in employee engagement and culture-building efforts
  • Act as a primary advocate for SkillBridge interns across the company
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Minimum Requirements

 

Education and/or Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration, in process or complete, preferred/not required
  • Human resources certification helpful but not required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in any of the following areas: recruiting, retention, personnel specialist, human resources specialist, training,
