JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a QA Automation Engineer at Kore.ai, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining end-to-end test automation to ensure a high-quality and reliable enterprise-grade AI platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate complex features, services, and workflows, while contributing to scalable and efficient automation frameworks.

You will actively participate in designing test strategies, developing automated test suites, and ensuring product quality through continuous testing and integration. This role requires a strong focus on hands-on automation, problem-solving, and collaboration to support the delivery of robust AI-driven solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

●        Actively participate in daily QA stand-ups, align on priorities, and communicate progress or blockers effectively.

●        Contribute to the implementation and improvement of automation strategies for web, API, and data validation across products.

●        Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation solutions using Python/TypeScript, utilizing Behave for BDD and Playwright for reliable and high-performance end-to-end testing.

●        Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git).

●        Execute and maintain automated test suites, ensuring stability and reliability of test results.

●        Analyze test failures, debug issues, and work closely with teams to identify root causes and validate fixes.

●        Contribute to improving test coverage and identifying gaps in testing early in the development lifecycle.

●        Stay updated with emerging trends in QA, including AI/ML testing and automation tools, and apply learnings where relevant.

●        Support quality initiatives such as test data setup, environment readiness, and basic performance validation.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

● 3–5 years of experience in test automation across web and API testing.

● Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or TypeScript, along with modern automation tools like Playwright.

● Experience in BDD frameworks such as Behave/Cucumber and test execution using tools like pytest.

● Good experience in building and maintaining end-to-end automation using Playwright (TypeScript preferred).

● Understanding of modular and scalable automation framework design.

● Hands-on experience with parallel execution, retries, fixtures, and basic reporting in automation frameworks.

● Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git) and integrating automated tests into build processes.

● Ability to analyze test failures, debug issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.

● Experience with test reporting, test data management, and defect tracking tools.

● Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

● Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and testing AI-driven features such as chatbot workflows or model responses is a plus.

● Experience using AI-powered tools for test automation (e.g., test generation, self-healing scripts, or intelligent debugging) is highly preferred.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:

● Bachelor’s in engineering or Master’s in computer applications
