JOB TITLE: Payroll/HR Operations Specialist

 

The Payroll/HR Operations Specialist will primarily be responsible for payroll providing HR/Accounts Payable and administrative services and support. Additional responsibilities include processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now and monitoring HR-related payments and expenditures. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that information and employee data is accurate and up to date, employees are paid in an accurate, timely, and appropriate manner and vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits. 


LOCATION: Orlando, FL (onsite/in-person)


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

      Complete payroll functions to ensure staff are paid in an accurate and timely manner. Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.

      Process forms such as W2s, W4s, insurance enrollment forms. Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that municipal finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

      Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies; Verify pay amounts, hours of work, deductions, etc.

      Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.

      Data entry of payroll information; Post-payroll reporting to Accounting department and requisite vendors.

      Prepare and remit source deductions and payroll tax/state taxes.

      Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.

      Create & maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly HR reporting.

      Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient office operations.

      Maintain an on-line filing system for all employee documents.

      Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files.

      Check applicant’s references and background reports.

      Assist with the pre-boarding and onboarding process.

      Help conduct new hire orientation.

      Assist administering HR policies, procedures, and programs.

      Audit/process monthly benefit invoices.

      Regular communication with international team members (UK, Germany, India)

      Maintain or destroy records according to current records retention laws.

      Perform other related duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two years full-time experience in payroll with an HR department required.
  • Previous HRIS experience required, Rippling highly preferred.
  • Accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Previous experience using ADP for payroll required.
  • Comfortable working in this office based (not remote or hybrid) position in our global HDQ in Orlando, Florida.
  • Previous experience using accounting systems (ex: QuickBooks, SAP, etc) preferred.
  • Associates degree in accounting/bookkeeping highly preferred.

 

Based on specific professional experience and education the salary for this position ranges from $28.00/hour - $41.00/hour. Additional benefit details will be shared during the formal interview process for this full-time employment opportunity.
