POSITION: Senior FP&A Analyst (Professional Services & Renewals)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior FP&A Analyst – Professional Services & Renewals will play a critical role in managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Professional Services, Service Revenue, and Customer Renewals. This role requires strong hands-on experience in services P&L management, project-level profitability, SaaS metrics, and close partnership with Delivery, Sales, RevOps, and Finance Systems teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical rigour, automation mindset, and deep understanding of enterprise SaaS services economics.

LOCATION: Hyderabad (Work from Office)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Professional Services FP&A & P&L Management

• Prepare, maintain, and analyze Professional Services P&L at project, region, and company level.

• Track and maintain master data for all Statements of Work (SOWs), service orders, and projects.

• Perform project-level profitability analysis across T&M and Fixed Bid engagements.

• Validate rate cards, E0/E1 estimates, and pricing assumptions for new and ongoing projects.

• Monitor profitability across mixed resource models including in-house teams and subcontractors.

Project Financial Tracking & Controls

• Track project costs, including billable/non-billable hours, offshore costs, bench costs, travel expenses, commissions, and overhead allocations.

• Allocate regional and central overheads based on defined cost allocation methodologies.

• Track subcontractor costs, payment status, and accruals.

• Monitor collections received from customers and amounts payable to subcontractors.

Revenue Forecasting & Unbilled Revenue

• Prepare service revenue projections based on signed SOWs and service orders.

• Track and analyse unbilled revenue:

  – T&M projects where invoicing is pending due to PO delays

  – Fixed Bid projects based on milestone achievement

• Identify exceptional or approved projects with unrecognised revenue and publish insights to senior management to drive timely SOW collection.

Management Reporting & Forecasting

• Prepare and review Monthly Services P&L and Region-wise Services P&L.

• Support Quarterly, Half-Yearly, and Annual Forecast vs Latest Estimate vs Actuals analysis.

• Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) preparation for Professional Services.

• Prepare resource utilisation, allocation, and capacity planning reports.

• Track project-wise gross margin and margin drivers.

Automation & Systems Integration

• Lead and support automation initiatives to link CRM with ERP systems.

• Design and maintain automated reports pulling data from CRM (Sales Orders, SOWs) and mapping them to ERP project and financial data.

• Improve data accuracy, timeliness, and scalability through automation and standard templates.

Renewals, SaaS Metrics & Cohort Analysis

• Track and analyse customer license renewals by region, logo, deal, and cohort.

• Monitor and report Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR).

• Maintain renewal and cohort master datasets.

• Analyse CAC, LTV, CAC payback, and unit economics.

• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and RevOps to improve renewal forecasting accuracy.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner closely with Delivery, Project Managers, Sales Ops, RevOps, and Accounting.

• Support leadership with actionable insights on service margin, utilisation, and renewals.

• Enable proactive decision-making through timely, accurate reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, Professional Services finance, or Revenue FP&A.

• Strong experience managing Professional Services P&L and project-level profitability.

• Hands-on experience with T&M and Fixed Bid project accounting.

• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, including GRR, NRR, CAC, LTV, and payback.

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with automation and system integrations preferred.

• Experience working with CRM and ERP systems.

• CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) from top-tier institutes preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Automation-first mindset.

• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
