Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. 


The primary purpose of the position is to assist Project Managers in the planning, execution, monitoring and controlling of projects. This position, reporting to the Director of PMO, will assist with, manage, coordinate, and report on multiple projects and assemble and guide cross functional project teams.  


The ideal candidate can adapt quickly to business needs, is able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment, and is interested in contributing to the direction of future Kraken products.  


Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in maintaining a "safety first" culture ensuring all activities are executed in a safe and effective manner in compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.  
  • Assist with the development of detailed project schedules. 
  • Assist in generating cost control and reporting templates for each project. 
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining risk registers as required.  
  • Assist in capturing lessons learned on projects.  
  • Assist in tracking the project progress: schedule, budget, scope, and quality. 
  • Assist with issuing client invoices. 
  • Coordinate communications with interdepartmental stakeholders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, HSE, etc.) via meetings and meetings minutes. 
  • Maintain project documentation as per the project plan(s). 
  • Assist PMO with process creation and rollout. 

Qualifications:  

  • Entry role 
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.  
  • Engineering or strong technical background.  
  • Experience in the Naval / Defence industry would be considered an asset.  
  • Technical background in a relevant discipline, with knowledge of Kraken products and services.  
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, to foster constructive and effective interactions.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
