Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Mount Pearl, NL, Dartmouth, NS or Remote.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle to attract, assess, and hire top talent across multiple locations. This role partners closely with hiring managers and People & Culture colleagues to deliver an efficient, inclusive, and high-quality hiring experience that supports the company’s global growth strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, background checks, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination
- Draft and post job advertisements aligned with employer branding guidelines
- Develop strategic sourcing plans to proactively create talent pipelines that ensure a steady flow of qualified and competent talent pools, including campus recruitment and emerging talent streams
- Create and execute a strategy for attending job fairs, campus recruitment days, candidate sourcing events etc
- Screen applications and conduct structured interviews to assess experience and cultural alignment
- Develop and implement employer of choice branding program
- Manage agency partnerships and mandates
- Train leaders on, provide guidance to, and ensure welcoming, inclusive and discrimination free hiring practises
- Coordinate & facilitate the interview process with hiring managers and other stakeholders across time zones and geographies
- Facilitate offer preparation and negotiations alignment with compensation guidelines
- Work with leaders to ensure effective pre hire on-boarding, new hire orientation, and first 30 day on-boarding program plans are in place and executed
Global Talent Strategy
- Manage recruitment across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with local employment legislation
- Track and analyze recruitment metric, recognizing trends and making recommendations to improve candidate and new hires experience, retention and success rate
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the Kraken’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Provide regular recruitment reports and insights to leadership
Process Improvement
- Continuously review and improve recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable employment laws
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably within a global or multi-location organization
- Experience recruiting across technical, professional, and/or corporate roles
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies and recruitment technologies (ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)
- Understanding of employment legislation in multiple jurisdictions is preferred
- Superior communication skills with strong ability to built rapport with stakeholders of all levels
- Sounds decision making stills underscored by superior analytical and problem solving abilities
- Effectively coach leaders and hiring managers on talent strategies, hiring practices, and hiring decisions.
