About the role
What you'll do
1. Food Preparation: Prepare a diverse menu of concession stand food items, including but not limited to, hot dogs, burgers, fries, nachos, popcorn, and other snacks.
2. Quality Control: Ensure the quality and freshness of all food items by following standard recipes and adhering to food safety guidelines.
3. Efficient Service: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet customer demand during events and activities.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction with their food experience.
5. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized concession stand, including regularly cleaning cooking equipment, surfaces, and utensils.
6. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that there are adequate supplies for each event.
7. Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, as well as any other relevant guidelines, to ensure a safe and sanitary food service operation.
8. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other concession stand staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
Qualifications
1. Previous Experience: Proven experience as a cook or food preparation in a similar setting is preferred.
2. Food Handling Certification: Possession of a valid food handler's certificate or willingness to obtain one.
3. Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with other staff members.
4. Communication Skills: Good communication and customer service skills.
5. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on event schedules.
