The Post Production Assistant plays a vital role in shaping how the world sees KREWE. You’ll support the Photo team across retouching, color correction, on-set assistance, and studio workflow. Think of this as a hybrid role: part pixel-perfect image specialist, part hands-on creative teammate.


This position is ideal for someone early in their career who loves fashion, understands the power of strong visual storytelling, and wants to build a future in photography, color-grading and retouching. You’ll learn from experienced creatives while contributing real work that appears across campaigns, eCommerce, social, and brand channels.


This role is based in our New Orleans Headquarters 5 days a week.


Key Responsibilities:


Photo Retouching & Image Post-Production

  • Retouch product, eCommerce, and lifestyle photography to meet KREWE’s visual and brand standards.
  • Perform detailed cleanup including dust removal, edge refinement, lens correction, and subtle skin and texture work while maintaining a natural aesthetic.
  • Color match frames and materials using physical samples, calibrated monitors, and approved references.
  • Ensure consistency across image sets, product families, and seasonal deliveries.
  • Prepare, export, and deliver final assets for eCommerce, marketing, campaigns, and retail partners following established specs and naming conventions.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and polish prior to delivery.

Digital Tech & Capture Support

  • Support on-set digital tech workflows, including tethered capture and real-time image review.
  • Assist with Capture One sessions, including setup, organization, basic adjustments, and file management.
  • Monitor image sharpness, exposure, framing, and color during capture, flagging issues to the Photo Manager or photographer.
  • Manage on-set data handling, including file ingest, folder structure, backups, and asset integrity throughout shoot days.
  • Help maintain and troubleshoot capture stations, monitors, cables, and related digital equipment.

Studio & Workflow Support

  • Assist with studio prep and breakdown, including lighting support, equipment setup, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Support photo shoots by managing gear, batteries, memory cards, and digital assets.
  • Ingest, organize, and archive image files according to KREWE’s workflow standards.
  • Assist with light image culling, tagging, and organization post-shoot.
  • Help maintain orderly archives so assets are easily accessible for cross-functional teams.

General Team Support

  • Assist the Photo team during high-volume production periods with flexibility and a strong work ethic.
  • Run occasional errands such as equipment pickups, sample runs, or studio supply needs.
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude while handling repetitive, detail-driven work.

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in photography, fashion, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, with demonstrated retouching ability.
  • Familiarity with Capture One.
  • Strong eye for color accuracy, consistency, and detail.
  • Solid understanding of lighting fundamentals and studio practices.
  • Highly organized with excellent file management and time management skills.
  • Experience or working knowledge of tethered capture and digital tech support on photo sets.
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and support the team.
  • Retouching-focused portfolio (before/after examples) encouraged.
