The Academy Events Coordinator is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of engaging events that enhance the Academy's offerings. The individual will work closely with the Academy Class Lead to contribute to the development of an enriching curriculum to provide a fun, stress-free and engaging experience for participants. This role also involves creating new programs throughout the year and representing the Academy at outreach events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist in scheduling and coordinating parties, events, leagues, seminars and summer camps.
· Research and coordinate events within the community for the Academy to attend.
· Assist in promotion of the Academy during company events, including creation of activities, marketing and interacting with clients.
· Lead and instruct Academy classes.
· Maintain the Academy website event pages, including updating imagery and content.
· Provide complete instructions, including body alignment, shot execution, muscle groups, and corrections.
· Provide a positive and enjoyable class and events atmosphere; give encouragement and create a comfortable and appealing environment.
· Incorporate safety training and awareness into daily activities.
· Evaluating participants’ performance and providing suitable feedback, balancing criticism with positive and motivating comments.
· Adapting to the needs and interests of the group or individual participant.
· Communicating instructions and commands using clear, simple language.
· Assist the class lead in creating and developing curriculum with outlines, visual aids and handouts for classes.
· Promote sales through additional classes and related archery equipment to existing students.
Qualifications:
· Minimum USA Archery Level 3 Instructor certification, preferred.
· A personality with enthusiasm and charisma with a positive and generous attitude.
· Experience teaching adults and children
· Strong computer, organizational and time management skills.
· Self-motivating; able to work independently and in a team.
· Successful background screening.
