The Zodiac Driver’s main responsibilities are to:

Experience - Some form of Zodiac/small boat driving license: RYA II or equivalent, USCG license.

  • Operate the Zodiacs safely.
  • Share their knowledge of a given region.
  • Provide expert guidance in the field.
  • Interpret for guests aboard ship, in the Zodiacs, and ashore.
  • Share information informally during interactions with guests.
  • Assist as necessary with other tasks.

Zodiac drivers work in support of the Expedition Leader to ensure that all expedition arrangements not only meet but exceed expectations for both the company and the guests. They collaborate closely with other Expedition Team members to ensure smooth operations and seamless coordination with other onboard departments. At all times, close cooperation is essential to ensure a successful and enjoyable expedition experience.
