We are seeking an experienced System Administrator with 5–7 years of expertise supporting modern, cloud-centric environments. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of our Apple ecosystem and Google Workspace environment, as well as managing network infrastructure, patching, backups, and desktop support. This is an onsite position requiring hands-on technical leadership to ensure a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment.


What You'll Do:

  • Administer and support Apple devices (macOS, iOS) using modern management tools (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, or equivalent).
  • Manage Google Workspace administration, including user provisioning, security policies, and integrations.
  • Maintain and secure network infrastructure: firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
  • Oversee operating system patching, system updates, and endpoint security.
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Provide desktop support to employees onsite, ensuring quick resolution of hardware and software issues.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential risks.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Infrastructure & Security on infrastructure projects, compliance, and long-term IT strategy.
  • Document system processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.


What You'll Bring:

  • 5–7 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar IT role.
  • Strong experience with Apple ecosystem management (macOS, iOS, MDM solutions).
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace administration, including Groups, Drive, and security settings.
  • Hands-on knowledge of networking (switching, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Familiarity with endpoint security, patch management, and backup solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and support skills across Apple hardware/software and cloud environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with technical and non-technical users.
  • Must be able to work onsite with flexibility for occasional after-hours support.
  • Well-developed ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English


Preferred Certifications (a plus, not required)

  • Jamf Certified Admin or equivalent MDM certification
  • Google Workspace Administrator certification
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification
  • CompTIA Security+ or other security-focused credentials


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Alternate Sitting or Standing at Will. The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.
  • Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. Traditional Keyboard refers to a panel of keys used as the primary input device on a computer, typographic machine or 10-Key numeric keypad.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken or written word to impart oral and written information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken or written instructions to other workers accurately or quickly.
  • Employee is required to have close visual acuity at approximately 20 inches or less to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish. A yes or no answer is captured for each of the four hearing requirements listed:

  • Lifting is raising or lowering an object from one level to another. Lifting can include an upward pulling motion. Carrying is to transport an object – usually by holding it in the hands or arms, or wearing it on the body.
  • Pushing is exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the origin of the force. Pulling is exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the origin of the force. Pushing or pulling may involve use of hands or arms and/or feet or legs done with one side of the body or both sides.
  • Extending the arm(s) with the hand(s) higher than the head and one of these conditions exist: (1) A person bends the elbows, and the angle at the shoulders is about 90 degrees or more, or (2) A person keeps the elbow extended, and the angle at the shoulder is about 120 degrees or more.
  • Reaching at or below the shoulder is present when there is ‘Reaching,’ but it does not meet the threshold for ‘Overhead.’  ‘Overhead’ and ‘At or Below the Shoulder Reaching’ can be present in the same task.
  • Stooping is bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.
  • Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, ropes, poles and the like requiring the use of both feet or legs and hands or arms.
