Business Analyst - Mortgage Underwriting

About the Role

The Business Analyst will leverage their expertise in mortgage underwriting to refine and enhance our Prism product within the MaaS™ suite. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the mortgage underwriting process and be able to convert that knowledge into easily digestible data sets, reports, and other materials. A government designation is not required for this position. 

What You’ll Own 

  • Analyze and review mortgage loans to advise on requirements and data necessary to move the company product forward 
  • Work alongside our Product and Engineering Department to assist with process improvement, product implementations, and product development 
  • Works with the marketing team on writing blog posts, marketing materials, and other related articles to help promote the underwriting product(s) 
  • Assist with product testing to support the development and product teams 
  • Support service desk tickets, collaborating with clients as needed. 
  • Live our #teamplayer value and step into other projects as needed 

 

About You 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mortgage Underwriting, or similar role required 
  • Related experience with ICE Encompass® loan origination systems required 
  • Working knowledge of Mortgage Underwriting guidelines including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM.   
  • This role does not require government designations  
  • Experience with AllRegs for guideline review 
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills  
  • Results driven, service oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint  
  • Prior professional experience as a business analyst, product analyst, or similar preferred
