About the Role

The Sr. Mortgage Technology Consultant works directly with our customers from contract signing through implementation and launch to meet their Professional Services needs, servicing specifically our customers who need Encompass® implementations, optimizations, or custom support.   This position requires an elevated knowledge of the mortgage loan workflow, from the initial loan application stage through the loan completion stage, along with advanced technical Encompass® administration experience, to improve and streamline workflows and processes for Lender Toolkit clients.  

What You'll Own

  • Ownership of multiple external client relationships, including identifying client needs, interpreting client problems, and communicating expectations. This includes leveraging extensive mortgage workflow knowledge along with Encompass administration experience to provide a reliable resource to address client needs. 
  • Organization of projects within the Teamwork Project Management software and communication of project statuses, with clear prioritization and history of work completed. This includes organizing and leading weekly project calls with each client, completing a consistent number of tasks and solutions to production, and demonstrating ROI for the client. 
  • Make recommendations based on proficient technical knowledge with the ability to communicate effectively to understand problems and explain solutions. 
  • Develop functional, error-free, advanced Encompass solutions, with thorough scoping, testing, and documentation, that resolve client needs.  
  • Configure Encompass environments, including Smart Client, Web, TPO, and Consumer Connect, using best practices. Adapting to new mortgage workflow and Encompass solutions and integrations when needed. 
  • Work on assigned internal projects to expand the existing product and service offerings for Lender Toolkit customers. Provide suggestions and solutions to expand and enhance the Lender Toolkit product library. Partnering and guiding team members on suggested solutions and training opportunities. 
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and telephone presence with ability to demonstrate control and flexibility while dealing with difficult internal/external clients.  
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes and maintaining any required industry certificates (as needed). 
  • Act as a resource to less senior members on the team and assist on training, troubleshooting, etc. when needed.

About You

  • 7+ years knowledge of the ICE Mortgage Technology Encompass® platform including advanced functions including programming/coding.  
  • 7+ years understanding of mortgage lending, regulatory requirements, and their application to a general production workflow. 
  • Proficient in Encompass® programming of business rules, input forms, custom print forms, DDM, TPO setup, Consumer Connect Setup, alerts, templates, tasks, hard stops, and other file flow checks & balances. Experience with Visual Basic.
  • Familiarity with Encompass® Web, SDK programming of plug-ins, extracts, and Developer Connect.  
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally, confidently, and intelligently with a diverse group of mortgage professionals, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.  
  • Ability to understand client needs and pain points and identify mortgage workflow challenges/opportunities to develop suitable business rules documentation, requirements, and specifications to then configure/modify Encompass® to meet those requirements.  
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues at a root level and identify and implement solutions to prevent issues in the future. 
  • Ability to identify the value of solutions provided and communicate that value to the client. 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in pursuing position responsibilities and department or company goals with an ability to recognize and act on changing priorities.  
  • Ability to perform complex technological research work while being organized, acute attention to detail, high rate of accuracy with ability to manage multiple projects and operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.  
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone presence are required with ability to demonstrate control and flexibility when dealing with difficult internal/external clients. 
  • Ability to maintain quality and high productivity when dealing with changing work demands.
