About the Role

We are hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer AI Enthusiast to join our efforts in revolutionizing the mortgage industry. The right person needs to be an AI-forward problem solver with a proven background in full stack development. This role will have the opportunity to lead the design, development, and operation of production-grade AI agents. You will own the full lifecycle of intelligent agent systems, including agent design, retrieval grounding, tool execution, safety controls, observability, API development, and full-stack interfaces.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You will define the architecture for our agent platform, mentor other engineers, and ensure our AI systems are secure, reliable, and deeply integrated into our products.

What You’ll Own

  • Full Stack Engineering
    • Deliver features across backend (Python) and frontend (React and Next.js).
    • Build dashboards and UIs for configuring, monitoring, debugging, and interacting with AI agents.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and assist with contractor oversight.
  • Lead technical design sessions, define engineering standards, and decompose complex work into actionable plans.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to convert ambiguous requirements into clear deliverables.
  • Drive architectural decisions for the AI agent platform and surrounding systems.
  • Agent and AI System Engineering
    • Design and implement tool-using, multi-step AI agents using LangChain, for internal and customer-facing workflows such as operations copilots, document-processing agents, workflow automation, and decision-support systems
    • Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, vector search, structured tool calling, grounding layers, and evaluation loops.
    • Reduce hallucinations through retrieval grounding, schema enforcement, guardrails, validation layers, and real-time monitoring.
    • Build dashboards and UI for configuring, monitoring, debugging, and interacting with AI agents using LangChain platform.
  • Platform and API Development
    • Build and maintain backend APIs using Python and FastAPI or similar async frameworks.
    • Implement JWT and OAuth2, RBAC, multi-tenant security, and least-privilege access patterns.
    • Ensure agents execute within authorized boundaries with proper logging, auditing, and safety controls.
  • Cloud Infrastructure and Operations
    • Deploy and operate containerized services using Docker, AWS ECS Fargate, ECR, ALB, S3, CloudWatch, SSM Parameter Store, SES, Textract, and Redis.
    • Improve reliability, observability, performance, and scalability across the AI platform.
    • Maintain CI and CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
