REMOTE WITH FIELD MOBILITY ( 50% TRAVEL)
ABOUT VIVAZEN / WHO WE ARE
Vivazen launched with a disruptive idea: that a small, plant-powered shot could outperform the synthetic stimulants dominating convenience counters. Over a decade later, we’ve not only proven it, we’ve defined the category. As the original brand to bring kratom-based products to market, we’ve since expanded into a powerful portfolio of clean, effective botanical blends with more than 700 million servings sold nationwide.
Retailers rely on Vivazen to drive real revenue in minimal space. Consumers trust us for fast-acting, feel-good energy they can count on. And behind it all is a business built for speed, ownership, and performance.
At Vivazen, you won’t wait for permission or promotion. From day one, you’ll run a real territory with clear goals, visible numbers, and the support to win. As we enter a new phase of rapid growth, we’re building a team that’s as ambitious as the opportunity. If you're motivated by autonomy, accountability, and upward mobility—and you want to help shape the future of natural performance, you’ll go far at Vivazen.
About The Role
We are seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead and scale Vivazen’s Western US business. This role is designed for a proven field sales leader who can operate independently in an emerging market while building structure, momentum, and accountability across a large geography. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of hands-on execution, distributor leadership, and strategic planning, with the ability to represent Vivazen credibly at both the field and executive levels. This individual thrives in fast-moving environments, is resilient in the face of rejection, and is motivated by building something meaningful from the ground up.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own full P&L responsibility for sales and revenue across the Western United States
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Build, expand, and manage distributor, wholesaler, and key account relationships throughout the territory
- Establish anchor accounts and priority markets to drive sustainable regional growth
- Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers as the team scales
- Drive in-market execution through consistent field presence, joint sales calls, and distributor engagement
- Oversee execution of regional sales programs, including Spartan program activation and performance tracking
- Create and manage joint business plans with distributors, including goal setting, execution, and accountability
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, field marketing, wholesale, and chains teams to support activations and growth initiatives
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and regular communication of market insights to senior leadership
- Translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans and ensure disciplined execution across the region
- Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory considerations impacting the Western US
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 10+ years of progressive field sales experience, with demonstrated success managing large, multi-state territories
- Willing to travel 50% for market visits and field mobility
- Proven track record of owning revenue targets and consistently delivering results in a field-based sales environment
- Experience building, expanding, and managing distributor and wholesaler relationships, including top-to-top executive engagement
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop sales teams, including Regional Sales Managers or equivalent roles
- History of success operating in competitive, relationship-driven sales environments with complex route-to-market dynamics
- Strong experience prospecting, opening new markets, and growing underpenetrated territories
- Ability to balance hands-on field execution with strategic planning and forecasting responsibilities
- Proven experience working within distributor or wholesaler-led sales models, including direct management of distributor relationships
- Documented success opening new markets or expanding underpenetrated territories, not solely managing mature or inherited regions
- Experience leading, coaching, and holding sales teams accountable for performance in a field-based environment
- Background in regulated or adjacent industries (e.g., beverage distribution, tobacco, smokeless, cannabis, or similar categories)
- Ability to operate independently in a remote role, with significant time spent in the field and minimal day-to-day oversight
- Track record of career stability, with sustained tenure and measurable impact in prior roles
NICE TO HAVE
- Existing distributor, wholesaler, or chain relationships in the Western US
- Experience launching or rebuilding underdeveloped or emerging sales territories
- Familiarity with joint business planning and route-to-market strategy
- Experience working in highly competitive or disruptive product categories
- Prior exposure to field-driven sales models with remote team leadership
