Job Details
- Contract Type: Part-time, independent contractor
- Time Commitment: 5 - 10 hours per week
- Rate: $3,000-$5,000/month
- Duration: Month to month, through June 30, 2026
Overview
A national grassroots campaign focused on combatting authoritarianism is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented social media contractor to support day-to-day posting and monitoring across social media platforms. This role is focused on day-to-day execution.
Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Creating and posting 3-5 social media posts per week
- Creating engaging graphics
- Creating and posting 1-2 short-form vertical video per week
- Scheduling content using existing tools
- Monitoring social media direct messages and comments and flagging any that require staff response
- Making minor copy or formatting edits as needed based on feedback
- Posting and monitoring would not be required on Federal Holidays
- Content themes, branding, messaging guidance, and any required approvals will be provided.

Qualifications
- Basic experience managing social media accounts
- Graphic design skills
- Comfortable with short-form video
- Strong attention to detail and responsiveness
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
- No advanced media strategy experience required
Deliverables
- Consistent weekly posting (approx. 3 posts + 1 video)
- Timely monitoring of DMs and comments during agreed-upon hours
- Clear communication with staff if issues or questions arise
