About the role
Are you a highly skilled and passionate Senior Software Engineer looking to make a significant
impact? LinenMaster is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on
innovative platform development, team coaching, and collaboration with our offshore partner.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys deep technical work, fostering team culture, and
driving forward new and exciting projects. Join us in this exciting opportunity to innovate, lead,
and grow. If you are a technical expert with a passion for building scalable solutions and
nurturing team talent, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
●Platform Development: Spend 25-30% of your time working closely with our offshore partner
ensuring successful collaboration, architecture best practices and delivery. Engage in new platform work, while refining add-on services and assisting with greenfield projects.
● Team Coaching & Capability Assessment: Dedicate approximately 30% of your time to coaching and mentoring the team. The particular focus will be transitioning from our legacy tech stack to our new Spring/Java SOA platform.
●Innovation & Culture Building: Contribute to a vibrant team culture, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate with our product team and subject matter experts to ensure our products meet market demands and client needs.
Future Opportunities:
●Management Prospects: If interested in management, there are opportunities to oversee a blended team of in-house and off-shore developers and continue growing the
team.
●Technical Focus: For those who prefer to remain technical, you'll have the chance to work
closely with the latest technologies and drive impactful projects on an individual contributor
track.
Technical Requirements:
● Languages: Proficiency in Java or JVM languages (Scala, Groovy, Kotlin, etc.).
● Architecture: Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), REST APIs, event-driven and domain-driven design.
● Cloud: AWS experience including API Gateway, Cognito, ECS and Lambda.
● Databases: MySQL or PostgreSQL.
● Front-end: Experience with React and JavaScript is a plus.
Qualifications
Other Skills & Experience:
● B2B SaaS Experience: Ideal candidates will have experience in scalable software
solutions.
● Replatforming/Greenfield Development: Experience in building new platforms and
working with modern tech stacks using a legacy platform as your guide.
● Agile Environment: Familiarity with agile methodologies and environments.
● Growth Mindset: Passionate about learning, teaching, and continuous improvement.
● Ownership & Initiative: Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive
approach to challenges.
