The Vice President of Product Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies. This role will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and customer-centric solutions, with a strong focus on operational readiness and commercialization. The VP will serve as a key partner to executive leadership, driving growth through product innovation and market expansion.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define, own, and communicate the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with Firm objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to shape overall business strategy and identify market opportunities.
- Build and scale a high-performing product management team to support growth and innovation.
- Lead the launch of new product and service lines, including full-service legal immigration solutions.
- Develop and execute “build, buy, borrow” strategies to bring new solutions to market at scale.
- Determine appropriate launch strategies (pilot vs. full-scale) based on market and operational readiness.
Voice of the Customer (VoC)
- Act as the primary advocate for the customer, ensuring their needs and pain points inform product direction.
- Establish and lead structured Voice of the Customer (VoC) programs using surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data insights.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and client success teams to synthesize customer feedback into actionable product enhancements.
Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution
- Lead the development and execution of a prioritized product roadmap that balances innovation, scalability, and customer impact.
- Ensure roadmap alignment with Firm goals, compliance standards, and company values.
- Oversee requirements gathering and translation into actionable user stories and specifications.
- Build and manage a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to drive product direction and execution.
Execution & Delivery
- Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, and other teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope.
- Manage internal tool roadmaps, build/buy analysis, and application support teams.
- Ensure operational readiness across people, processes, and systems for product and service launches.
- Serve as the operational point of contact for senior stakeholders during launch cycles.
- Drive go-to-market strategies in partnership with marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
- Oversee commercialization planning including pricing strategy, branding, channel selection, and sales enablement.
- Align service delivery operations with go-to-market plans and client onboarding workflows.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product adoption, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, mentor, and develop top product talent.
- Foster a data-driven, customer-centric culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Serve as a thought leader within the company, representing the product vision both internally and externally.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements (Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities)
- 15+ Years of relevant work experience
- Experience in legal innovation, legal tech, or alternative legal services (ALSPs) preferred.
- Background in B2C product management or service design in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and design thinking principles.
- Experience galvanizing multi-disciplinary teams (legal, IT, Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR, Finance) to ensure people, process, technology readiness for full-scale launch
- Experience in building new services that both “plug into” existing service infrastructure, use a combination of new/existing, and leverage entirely net new
- Experience in high-growth, rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated experience in both strategic planning and hands-on execution
- Experience building teams from scratch.
