Position Purpose

The HR Manager serves as HR Business Partner to Firm leadership. This role will serve as a strategic partner in organizational development and business planning. The HR Manager will also oversee leave management and key aspects of benefit administration, as well as communications and education of HR Programs and benefits, facilitation of various training programs, employee relations investigations, and research and follow-up to address team members’ inquires and concerns.

 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Serves as HR Business Partner to Firm leadership. Builds business acumen and serves as strategic partner in organizational development and business planning.

 

  1. Oversees key aspects of benefit administration, including but not limited to new hire initial enrollment, qualifying events, and facilitation of annual open enrollment.

 

  1. Oversees communications and education of all HR Programs and benefits, including leave administration. Facilitates a variety of training courses. Research issues and addresses team members’ inquires and concerns.

 

  1. Completes HR administration and compliance, including but not limited to, company policy consistency, best practice application.

 

  1. Interprets company policies and advises Firm leadership appropriately.

 

  1. Manages employee relations by responding to employee inquiries timely, coaches' supervisors on delivering employee feedback, conducts investigations and partners with Firm leadership on escalated employee matters.

 

  1. Coordinates aspects of performance program management by partnering with leaders to facilitate introductory and annual review cycles. Partners with leaders to address individual employee development needs and assists with compensation reviews.

 

  1. Leads activities related to employee engagement and organizational culture.

 

  1. Serves as System Administrator for HRIS. Generates reports and analyzes data to identify trends.

 

  1. Remains current on HR and industry trends, data, and best practices. Seeks to implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.

 

  1. Serves as a daily champion and advocate of demonstrating the Firm's core values and positively contributing to the Firm’s organizational culture.

 

 

 

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements (Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities)

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.

 

  1. 8-10 years of professional experience working in a Human Resource role, ideally as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner required.

 

  1. Work requires the ability to make progress and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, growth environment.

 

  1. Ability and willingness to embrace and align with the Firm’s core values, mission and organizational culture.

 

  1. Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws in a multi-state organization; strong knowledge of all facets of human resource functions, best practices and processes.

 

  1. Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions timely within authority of role.

 

  1. Aptitude to exercise sound judgment and discretion and uphold confidential information at all times.

 

  1. Effective communication skills (written, verbal and active listening) and interpersonal skills.

 

  1. Ability to manage competing demands utilizing efficient time management and organizational skills.

 

  1. Capability and willingness to assist managers with resolving workplace conflict.

 

  1. Strong self-initiative with an ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.

 

  1. Proficiency with HRIS required or willingness to gain sound proficiency, proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

 

  1. SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification preferred.

 

  1. Willingness to work onsite each workday is required.

 

People Leadership and Management (Only applicable for jobs with direct reports)

Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include providing guidance, support, and direction to team members; conducting performance evaluations; fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment; ensuring adherence to Firm policies and procedures; and contributing to team member development and operational goals.
