About the role

The VP of Legal Service Commercialization will create and lead the team that launches new products and service lines. This role is responsible for setting the strategy for the Firm’s service commercialization, strategically developing and designing new product offerings that enable client growth and drives revenue. They will lead the activation of new product offerings and partner with Marketing and Business Development to build messaging campaigns for those new offerings.


What you'll do

  • Create and lead team that launches new product and service lines. Gain working knowledge of current service offerings, customers, operations, etc. Identify and build team and skillsets needed to launch full-service multiple legal immigration solutions simultaneously and at scale.
  • Define and execute the firm’s commercialization strategy for new legal services and technology-enabled products.
  • Develop and manage a strategic roadmap for launching new offerings, including milestones, budgets, and success metrics.
  • Ensure offerings are compliant, differentiated, and aligned with firm values.
  • Identify when current infrastructure / teams will be leveraged to support the new service and when new teams, systems, or processes are required.
  • Help influence a “build, buy, borrow” strategy for bringing new solutions to market at scale.
  • Consider and articulate when to “launch at scale” or when to develop pilot programs and early-stage rollouts to test and refine offerings before full-scale launch.
  • Lead operational build-out for new services, including infrastructure, staffing models, tools, training, and performance standards. Work collaboratively with Operations peers, IT, and HR to activate, managing timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure readiness across people, process, and systems for full-scale launch.
  • Collaborate on execution of “go-to-market” plan.
  • Oversee commercialization planning, including working with CRO on pricing strategy, branding, channel selection, and sales enablement.
  • Partner with Marketing and Business Development teams to develop compelling messaging and campaigns that articulate value to clients.
  • Align service delivery operations with go-to-market plans and client onboarding workflows.
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for senior stakeholders during service launch cycles.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess adoption, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Continuously refine offerings based on performance data, client feedback, and market evolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required. MBA or JD preferred.
  • Experience in legal innovation, legal tech, or alternative legal services (ALSPs) preferred.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and design thinking principles.
  • Proven experience building and scaling new service lines in regulated, B2C environment
  • 15+ years experience galvanizing multi-disciplinary teams (legal, IT, Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR, Finance) to ensure people, process, technology readiness for full-scale launch
  • Experience in building new services that both “plug into” existing service infrastructure, use a combination of new/existing, and leverage entirely net new
  • Experience in high-growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in both strategic planning and hands-on execution
  • Experience building teams from scratching and leading leaders of teams
