About the role
The Chief of Staff is a high-impact leadership role that acts as an extension of the CEO, representing her in all professional interactions and driving strategic initiatives across the organization. The Chief of Staff serves as the strategic and operational right hand to the CEO, ensuring the leadership team remains aligned with the firm’s vision, long-term strategy, and quarterly goals. This role bridges strategy and execution by facilitating communication, maintaining accountability, and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to move the firm toward its priorities.
What you'll do
1. Act as the CEO’s proxy in meetings and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Lead strategic planning and execution of CEO-driven initiatives across departments. Ensure quarterly priorities are clearly tied to 1-year and 3-year firm initiatives. Regularly review leadership team’s progress to confirm alignment with strategic plans.
3. Responsible for Quarterly Planning & Tracking and maintaining oversight of the firm’s priority tracking. Ensures that all quarterly priorities are entered accurately, confirms updated are made appropriately, and follows-up with responsible parties to correct gaps or inconsistencies.
4. Acts as a liaison between the CEO and the Leadership team on priority issues requiring CEO input, resource allocation and other leadership matters.
5. Provide strategic counsel and constructive feedback to the CEO to support decision-making.
6. Prepare executive briefings, reports, and follow-ups to streamline CEO operations.
7. Travel with the CEO to support business engagements and ensure continuity of leadership.
8. Maintain the highest level of discretion and professionalism in all matters.
9. Responsible for operational oversight and monitoring of keys metrics to ensure no critical functions fall behind. Responsible for prompt action regarding operational issues or concerns including working with leadership team to resolve issues, proper involvement of the CEO and communication of issues.
10. Will partner with the CEO to lead Organizational Development activities including mapping and designing org structures, defining leadership roles, and establishing clear role definitions.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in executive leadership, operations, or strategic roles.
3. Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
4. Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
6. Can maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others.
8. Must be able to handle competing priorities.
9. Ability to travel as needed.
