About the role

As a QA Engineer at Liven, you’ll be the guardian of quality across our platform. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure our releases are stable, reliable, and deliver seamless experiences to our customers. This role focuses primarily on manual testing, with opportunities to contribute to test process improvements, exploratory testing, and collaboration with SDETs on automation initiatives. You’ll play a key part in shaping quality practices across the development lifecycle and advocating for excellence at every stage

What you'll do

  • Manual Testing: Design, maintain, and execute detailed test cases for web and mobile applications.
  • Exploratory Testing: Investigate new features and complex workflows, identifying edge cases and potential issues.
  • Regression Testing: Validate core user journeys and ensure stability across releases.
  • Defect Management: Log, track, and verify issues in collaboration with development teams.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineers and product teams to ensure features are built with quality in mind.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to QA documentation, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Automation Collaboration: Work alongside SDETs to identify test cases for automation and ensure coverage parity

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in manual testing or QA roles.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Experience testing web and/or mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Postman, or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of API testing and database validation (SQL).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality software

Good to Have

  • Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Jest).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience with performance, usability, or security testing.
  • Understanding of containerized or cloud-based systems (Docker, AWS, etc.).
