What is the Role?

As part of Loggerhead’s Sales team, the Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of insurance agents and ensuring they achieve their sales objectives. The responsibilities of an Insurance Sales Manager include setting and monitoring sales goals, facilitating the professional development of the team, and providing customer support.   

 

A Day in the Life could include: 

  • Recruiting and training new agents, setting sales targets, and developing strategies to increase quotes and sales 
  • Coach members of the sales team to deliver a standard of customer care to meet company standards 
  • Oversee the sales team to achieve operational targets and monitor performance 
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the insurance sector 
  • Provide expert advice on insurance products and coverage options 
  • Expand business by proactively building relationships with existing customers to meet the agreed upon production and active customer goals 
  • Report on results, recommend initiatives to increase sales, identify obstacles and solutions to overcome to increase sales 
  • Providing sales strategies, feedback, and marketing plans 
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry developments 
  • Answering customer queries 
  • Mediating disputes with customers 
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge 
  • Work closely with other departments, such as underwriting, marketing, and operations, to streamline sales processes and enhance customer experience 

What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate: 

Skills 

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in the insurance industry.  
  • Call center sales experience is a must 
  • The candidate should have prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring at a managerial level in an insurance sales call center 
  • Must have prior experience designing/implementing a sales funnel 
  • Knowledge and understanding of insurance policies, regulations, and laws to ensure accurate advice and compliance 
  • In addition to Search Engine Optimization/marketing experience, ideal candidate should have experience managing Google Ads (Campaigns, Ad groups, Keywords, and the like) 
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment 
  • Ability to build relationships with sales customers 
  • Ambitious professional motivated by opportunity for advancement 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions 
  • Ability to lead a remote sales force 
  • Preferred experience using HubSpot for lead management 

 

Education & Certifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field 
  • Must have 220, 2040, or out of state equivalent  

 

Working Conditions: 

  • Hybrid work environment with option to flexibly split time working remotely and at corporate headquarters located in Tampa, FL 
  • Required to work flexible hours and/or weekends as needed
