About the Role
Hi, I'm Cato, CEO and Co-Founder of Loop. I’m hiring a creative, detail-oriented, builder-minded Product Designer Co-op who’s excited to help design and ship real product experiences for a modern banking platform built for globally operating businesses.
This role is an onsite position 5 days per week at our downtown Toronto office (Adelaide and Spadina).
Where You Come In
As a Product Designer Co-op at Loop, you’ll work closely with product and engineering to design and deliver features from ideation through to shipping in production. You’ll be involved throughout the product development process, from early exploration and wireframes to polished UI, developer handoff and to final QA.
You’ll contribute to core product areas including customer onboarding and account flows, building complex payment and financial workflows, user management, settings, and more. You will also play an important role in continuing to build and evolve our design system. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, fast feedback, and the opportunity to see your work quickly move from Figma to production.
What You'll Be Doing
Product UI and UX Design
- Support the design of user flows and screen updates for new and existing product features
- Create wireframes,high-fidelity UI designs and UX mockups in Figma with guidance and feedback
- Explore different design ideas and iterate quickly based on input from the team
- Consider all key product states such as empty states, error states, and confirmations
- Contribute both minor and significant UI improvements across dashboards, settings pages, and core workflows
Design System
- Build and refine reusable components using Figma components and variants
- Maintain visual and interaction consistency across the product including typography, spacing, and UI patterns
- Support documentation of design components, rules, and usage as the system evolves
Implementation and Build Support
- Collaborate with engineers as designs move into production
- Review implemented designs and help spot UI inconsistencies or polish opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Figma skills, including auto layout, components, and variants
- A sharp eye for UI quality, visual polish, and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and comfort receiving and applying feedback
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Interest in using no-code tools to turn wireframes into working interactive prototypes
- A collaborative mindset and interest in working closely with product and engineering
It's a Bonus if You Have
- Basic understanding of front-end development and how designs translate into code
- Experience designing complex data-driven interfaces in financial services or similar industries
- Experience creating new design systems or iteration on existing ones
- Experience working at a start-up

Interview Process
- 30 minutes video call to discuss the opportunity and the organization with Sarah, Chief of Staff
- 60 minutes in person meeting with Yan, Head of Engineering, and Cato, CEO and Co-Founder
