About The Role

Hi, I'm Cato, CEO and Co-Founder of Loop and I am hiring a Sales Development Representative to help fuel our sales engine for businesses across Canada. This role is an onsite position at our downtown Toronto office.

Where You Come In

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) sits within the Growth Marketing team and plays a vital role in driving customer acquisition and onboarding efforts. The SDR is responsible for engaging with new customers, understanding where they are in the onboarding funnel, and guiding them through the initial stages of the customer journey. This role is focused on creating a seamless onboarding experience for new customers, ensuring they are set up for success from the start.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Onboarding: Respond promptly to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and chat. Serve as the primary point of contact for new customers during the onboarding process and guiding them through the initial setup and implementation of the Loop's products or services.

  • Activation: Ensure customers understand the value proposition and how to effectively use the product to meet their needs, by helping them get set up with our products. Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.

  • Selling: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all activities in the CRM system to support onboarding metrics.

  • Feedback: Provide feedback to the marketing team on lead quality and campaign performance.

  • Product Feedback: Collect customer feedback throughout the onboarding journey and identify opportunities to share feedback. 

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings to better serve customers..

What is Success in This Role 

As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be tasked with the critical role of supporting new customers with their onboarding journey and working to convert as many marketing qualified registrations into active accounts as possible. This is your chance to contribute directly to the company's growth by setting the stage for customer success.

What We're Looking For

  • Customer Centric: Previous experience in sales or customer service. 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft clear and effective messages.

  • Persistence: A tenacious attitude with the resilience to handle frustration and continue with a positive attitude when speaking with new customers.

  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of calls and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with CRM: Comfortable using or learning CRM systems and sales automation tools to maximize your efficiency.

  • Growth Mindset: A desire to learn, grow and contribute to a team environment.

  • Goal Oriented: Motivated by exceeding targets with a proven track record of over-achieving quota consistently and predictably.

  • Analytical Skills: Analyze data to track the effectiveness of outreach efforts and make adjustments accordingly.

It's a Bonus if You Have

  • Experience in Tech, even better in FinTech

  • Experience working with small teams, particularly at start-ups

  • A second language, particularly Spanish or French

What we offer

  • Salary range CAD$50,000-$60,000 annual, commensurate with experience 

  • A rewarding commission structure for successful lead conversions 

  • Equity ranging 0.01-0.05%

  • 3 weeks vacation 

  • Enrollment in group's health benefits after probation period

  • 30 minutes video call to discuss the opportunity and the organization with Sarah, Chief of Staff

  • 45 minutes in person meeting with 2 team members

  • Take home assignment

  • 30 minutes in person meeting with Cato, CEO and Co-Founder
