Hi, I’m Arjun, Director of Product at Loop, and I’m hiring a Technical Product Manager to lead key payment infrastructure initiatives while helping drive our broader product development efforts.
This role is an onsite position 5 days per week at our downtown Toronto office (Adelaide and Spadina).
Here's the TL;DR on Loop
Loop is a fast-growing FinTech startup that enables businesses to seamlessly manage money around the world so our clients can access more markets, accelerate their growth and simplify their operations with the only truly cross-border banking platform. Loop is enabling the next generation of businesses to thrive around the world and we are looking for ambitious people to join our mission.
Where You Come In
As a Technical Product Manager Technical at Loop, you’ll lead projects that are critical to our core payment infrastructure, financial systems, including scaling our ledger, payment rails, integrating new financial partners, and improving our banking systems.
You’ll also flex as a generalist — owning day-to-day projects that span customer experiences, operational tooling, and platform capabilities.
We are looking for an ambitious product-minded tech rockstar with a strong technical foundation (background in Computer Science or experience in technical infrastructure) who wants to bridge engineering and business to create high-impact products.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own key parts of Loop’s cross-border payments roadmap, helping scale existing features and introduce new ways to help businesses manage their global payments.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to deeply refine technical architecture.
- Work with compliance, operations, payments and finance teams to ensure new developments meet regulatory, security, and operational requirements.
- Stay up to date on the evolving payments landscape to inform product decisions and prioritize what to build next.
- Track product performance metrics and contribute to data-driven decision making.
- Be a hands-on contributor who can flexibly switch between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Regularly conduct QA and production testing on payments related features and other developments as required.
- Gather customer and internal stakeholder feedback to identify pain points and translate them into actionable product features.
- Lead sprints; driving scoping, prioritization, and delivery timelines with engineering.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in product management, technical project management, software engineering, or similar roles in fintech, SaaS, infrastructure, or startups.
- Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields OR meaningful experience in payments, financial infrastructure, or treasury operations.
- Strong technical acumen — you are comfortable discussing system design, APIs, and technical tradeoffs with engineers.
- A passion for building robust systems and solving operational, back-end, and payments problems.
- Experience writing clear product requirements and collaborating closely with technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, you can simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Self-starter attitude with a bias for action: you thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Familiarity with tools like Linear, Jira, Notion, and data analytics platforms (SQL skills are a plus).
It's a Bonus if You Have
- Previous experience working in a fintech, bank, payments processor, or infrastructure-focused company.
- Exposure to payment systems (e.g., SWIFT, ACH, RTP, SEPA) or card networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard).
- Experience working on compliance-heavy or regulated products.
- Basic knowledge of API design and integration.
- Prior experience in a startup or small team environment where you wore multiple hats
