Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Technology Operations Specialist to support and optimize our people technology ecosystem, with a primary focus on HRIS, payroll, and employee lifecycle systems. This role will serve as a key partner across People Operations, Payroll, Finance, and Technology teams, ensuring employee data integrity, process efficiency, and seamless system operations.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver who thrives at the intersection of technology and people operations. They possess strong systems administration experience, a passion for process improvement, and expertise managing HR and payroll platforms, preferably Rippling.

Key Responsibilities:

HRIS & Payroll Systems Administration
• Serve as a primary administrator for HRIS and payroll platforms, with a strong preference for Rippling experience.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize employee records, workflows, automations, permissions, and integrations.
• Support payroll operations through system maintenance, audits, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Partner with People Operations and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely employee data management.

Data Management & Reporting
• Own the accuracy, integrity, and governance of employee and organizational data across systems.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics that support business decision-making.
• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies, improve data quality, and ensure compliance.
• Analyze workforce and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.

Systems Optimization & Operations
• Evaluate existing workflows and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Manage integrations between HRIS, payroll, benefits, identity management, and other business systems.
• Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve them.
• Support testing, implementation, and change management efforts for new technology solutions and system enhancements.

Cross-Functional Partnership
• Collaborate closely with People, Finance, Legal, and Technology teams to align systems and processes.
• Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle events through technology-enabled workflows.
• Assist with compliance initiatives, audits, and documentation related to employee data and payroll operations.
• Provide end-user support and training for HR and payroll systems as needed.

Qualifications

Required
• 3+ years of experience administering HRIS, payroll, or people technology systems.
• Experience working with employee data, reporting, and systems operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Experience managing system configurations, workflows, and business process improvements.

Preferred
• Hands-on experience with Rippling administration and payroll functionality.

• Rippling implemenation partner certification.
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, BambooHR, UKG, ADP, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and SaaS application management.
• Experience supporting compliance, payroll audits, and data governance initiatives.
• Knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, benefits administration, and workforce operations.
