About LOVB (League One Volleyball):
League One Volleyball (LOVB) is reimagining women's sports. Launched in 2019, our company is a mission-led sports performance, training and media enterprise that will change the game of volleyball in the USA and empower new generations of female athletes.
It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball in the US with our historic triple Olympic Gold medals in Women's Indoor, Beach and Sitting Volleyball. Volleyball is already the #1 most played girls' youth sport. There are 38M current and former players today. Of major sports, it's the only one that is women-first (~90% of players are female). But the volleyball market has been almost entirely missed by traditional sports investors, brands, and media.
LOVB is capturing this opportunity by creating a strong club business, and from that built-in audience and fandom, is creating the best Pro League in the world and a digital ecosystem that will connect all aspects of LOVB. This community-up approach will drive participation and fandom, while enabling greater empowerment for girls and young women living this amazing sport. In this role, you will join a mission-driven, roll-up-your-sleeves team of innovators and builders who have come together to change the paradigm of professional volleyball and women’s sports.

Director of Product, Digital Platform
About LOVB
LOVB is building the digital home for volleyball. We are creating a connected digital ecosystem that spans every stage of the volleyball journey—from a child's first experience with the sport through club volleyball, coaching, recruiting, community participation, fandom, and professional volleyball. The platform brings these experiences together through a shared identity, connected products, and a common community.
Our goal is to create the place where the volleyball community connects, participates, learns, competes, follows the sport, and builds relationships that extend beyond any single team, club, event, or season. As the ecosystem grows, it strengthens every part of LOVB. It helps athletes develop, parents stay connected, coaches and clubs engage their communities, fans build deeper relationships with the sport, and LOVB Pro expand its audience and engagement.
We are looking for a product leader to help shape the future of volleyball by creating products and experiences that connect athletes, parents, coaches, clubs, fans, and professional teams.
The Role
The Director of Product will own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution of LOVB’s digital platform. This role is responsible for turning LOVB.com from a website into a connected ecosystem that supports participation, community, content, commerce, loyalty, and fandom across the sport.
You will work directly with the CTO, engineering team, design partners, business leaders, and executive stakeholders to define what we build, why we build it, how it works, and how success is measured. This is a hands-on product leadership role. You will lead discovery, define requirements, prioritize work, manage trade-offs, partner with engineering, and stay close to delivery. You will also be accountable for product growth metrics including registered accounts, active users, engagement, retention, loyalty participation, and ecosystem expansion.
This role will serve the broader volleyball community while creating a larger, more engaged audience for LOVB Pro.
What You’ll Own
Professional Volleyball
You will own a digital product strategy for fan engagement around LOVB Pro. This includes team and player experiences, schedules, standings, statistics, content, highlights, ticketing journeys, merchandise experiences, fantasy products, loyalty, community engagement, and other digital experiences that help fans build stronger relationships with the league. The goal is to make LOVB Pro easier to follow, more engaging between matches, and more connected to the broader volleyball community.
Participation and Community
You will help build products that make it easier for people to participate in volleyball. This includes community programs such as Volley in the Park, adult participation, local events, grassroots programs, and other experiences that bring new people into the sport. These products will help people find ways to play, connect with others, and build a lasting relationship with volleyball.
Role: LOVB.com Director of Product, Digital Platform
Youth and Club Volleyball
You will help shape digital experiences that support athletes, parents, coaches, and clubs. This will include camps and clinics, tournaments, athlete profiles, recruiting, rankings, parent communications, coaching education, and club-related experiences. These products will make the volleyball journey easier to navigate and help connect youth participation to the broader LOVB ecosystem.
Discovery, Marketplace, and Access
You will help create the digital pathways that allow people to find and access volleyball opportunities. This may include camps, clinics, tournaments, leagues, facilities, courts, events, coaches, clubs, recruiting opportunities, merchandise, tickets, and other services. The work is not simply about transactions. It is about helping people find the next meaningful volleyball experience for them.
Platform Capabilities
You will own the product strategy for the shared capabilities that connect the ecosystem together. This includes account creation, identity, profiles, preferences, personalization, loyalty, notifications, content, commerce, payments, community features, and analytics. These capabilities will make the platform feel connected, personal, and useful across every stage of the volleyball journey.
Key Responsibilities
● Define and maintain the product vision for LOVB’s digital platform.
● Build and manage a roadmap that supports the growth of the LOVB ecosystem and the commercial goals of LOVB Pro.
● Translate opportunities across professional volleyball, youth volleyball, community participation, events, commerce, content, and fan engagement into clear product strategies.
● Lead product discovery with athletes, parents, coaches, fans, clubs, teams, and internal stakeholders.
● Create product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, success metrics, and launch plans.
● Prioritize work based on user value, business impact, technical effort, and strategic importance.
● Partner closely with engineering and design to perform discovery, cost/effort analysis, and ultimately deliver high-quality product experiences.
● Work with Marketing, Pro, Youth, Revenue, Partnerships, Clubs, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align product decisions with business goals.
● Measure product performance and use data to improve adoption, engagement, retention, and conversion.
● Create clear visibility into roadmap priorities, delivery progress, product performance, and trade-offs.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 12 months, you will have established a clear product strategy and roadmap for LOVB’s digital platform. You will have launched meaningful product improvements that increase engagement, improve the member experience, and support the growth of LOVB Pro. You will have improved visibility into product performance through clear metrics for account growth, active usage, engagement, retention, loyalty, and conversion. You will have helped move LOVB.com beyond a content site and toward a connected digital ecosystem for volleyball.
Role: LOVB.com Director of Product, Digital Platform
